Climbing Facilities
The climbing facilities at this gym get a 2 out of 5. This gym is fairly old compared to many of the other gyms out there and it shows. The wall surfaces are starting to fall off in places and are not made from high quality manufacturers. Many of the holds are very worn out and have become fairly smooth. It makes for slightly different climbing, but it makes it very difficult to hold on to similar shaped new holds. The floors are covered completely in foam but it is with pads that are pieced and velcroed together, so there are dead spots and the floor is slightly uneven. There is also a significant amount of dust despite the large door that is open most of the time. When it comes to additional climbing training, there is a campus wall as well as a few hangboards.
Fitness Area
The fitness area at this gym gets a 2 out of 5. There are a good range of free weights as well as dumbbells, but the fitness area itself is only large enough for one or two people to exercise at once. There are no cardio or weight machines here.
Locker Rooms/ Bathrooms
This gym gets a 3 out of 5 for it’s bathrooms. The bathrooms are fairly simple and there is a small changing room with lockers. The bathrooms are fairly small and look as if they have not been redone in a while, but they are clean and have everything you need to take care of your business. This location does not have showers or other locker room amenities.
Parking
The parking at this gym gets a 4 out of 5. The lot is fairly large, and I did not have any issues getting a space that was close by to the entrance. Also, the gym was fairly easy to find because there are large signs and it is visible from the street before entering the parking lot.
General Ambiance
This gym gets a 4 out of 5 for it’s ambiance. The front desk is right at the entrance and there are friendly staff that are ready to help you however you need. The gym also has an awesome space above the bouldering walls that serves as a space to hangout or have birthday parties.
